The School of Physics comprises nine academic departments specializing in theoretical and experimental physics, low-temperature physics, solid-state physics, crystal physics, physical optics, astronomy and space informatics, as well as higher mathematics. Its structure also includes research and teaching laboratories, the Functional Materials Research and Education Center, and other specialized research units.
The School of Physics combines fundamental education in physics and mathematics with active research and offers programmes in Physics, Astronomy, Computational Methods and Informatics in Physics, and Secondary Education (Physics and Astronomy). Students participate in research projects, academic competitions, physics olympiads, student research contests, and scientific schools, gaining valuable experience in modern scientific research.
Graduates can pursue careers in research institutions, universities, technology and engineering companies, astronomical and scientific centers, as well as in information technology and data analysis. Strong foundations in physics and mathematics also provide opportunities for further education and professional development in Ukraine and internationally.
