The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (formerly the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics) trains highly qualified educators who are competitive in all areas of professional activity in the labor market. The advantages of graduates of this program include a solid specialized training in secondary education, which provides mathematical and pedagogical preparation, elements of the application of information technologies and mathematical theories in educational activities, scientific research, engineering, and the information sector, combined with the acquisition of pedagogical skills.

Program description

The program is aimed at preparing a highly qualified teacher of mathematics and computer science to work with students of general secondary education, capable of being socially resilient and mobile in the labor market, able to solve complex specialized professional and pedagogical tasks and problems in the mathematical and computer science education fields in general secondary education institutions. This involves the application of theoretical and practical knowledge, psychological and pedagogical theories, subject-specific teaching methods, and modern educational technologies, and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of the conditions of the educational process in educational institutions.

Admission requirements

Previous educational qualification required: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.

Entrance examinations for international applicants:

Language of instruction examination (Ukrainian or English language);
Professional entrance examination in the chosen field of study.
