The program is built around the comprehensive study of German Language and Literature, Translation, and English. In accordance with the curriculum, students complete a wide range of courses that ensure a high level of professional preparation. These include German Language, Translation Studies, English Language, History of the German Language, Linguistic and Cultural Studies, Lexicology, Theoretical Grammar, Literature of German-Speaking Countries, and Language Teaching Methodology.
The program provides students with advanced linguistic, literary, translation, and pedagogical competencies, preparing them for successful careers in education, translation and interpreting, intercultural communication, international organizations, publishing, and academic research.
The program enables students to achieve a high level of proficiency in German and English, with the opportunity to study a third foreign language of their choice. Students develop advanced skills in both written and oral translation, cultivate the competencies required for a teaching career, and gain a broad understanding of world literature and culture.
In addition to general education courses such as History of Ukraine, Philosophy, and Information Technologies, as well as core professional subjects including Lexicology, Grammar, and Stylistics, students have the opportunity to personalize their education through a wide range of elective courses during the 3-year and 10-month program, creating an individual learning pathway that reflects their academic interests and career goals.
The program also recognizes the results of non-formal education, allowing students to receive academic credit for courses completed through leading international universities and online learning platforms, including Coursera. Furthermore, students are encouraged to participate in international academic mobility programs, such as Erasmus+, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Fulbright Program, and other international exchange and scholarship opportunities, providing valuable global academic and professional experience.
