Training program

Chemistry is one of the most important and extensive branches of natural science. It is the science of substances, their properties, structure, and transformations that occur as a result of chemical reactions, as well as the fundamental laws governing these transformations.

Training of specialists in the “Chemistry” programme is aimed at preparing chemists with a strong theoretical background and professional experimental and research skills. A chemist is a specialist who studies various substances and materials, the patterns and specific features of chemical reactions. Chemists play an important role in virtually all industries, including food production, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, oil and gas processing, mining, and many others. They develop standards and technological processes, create new materials and medicines, carry out quality control of products, and provide scientific foundations for environmental monitoring.

Graduates of the Faculty of Chemistry successfully work in their field in state certification and examination bodies, environmental and customs control services, chemical enterprises and private companies. They also continue scientific work in research laboratories and institutes, teach chemistry in higher and secondary educational institutions, and pursue postgraduate studies at universities in Ukraine, Europe, and the United States.

Previous educational qualification required: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.

Entrance examinations for international applicants:

  1. Language of instruction examination (Ukrainian or English language);
  2. Professional entrance examination in the chosen field of study.
