Training program

Training of specialists capable of using English, the state language, and other languages, as well as information and communication technologies, to solve complex tasks in specialized professional fields such as intercultural communication and translation, socio- and psycholinguistic analysis, discourse analysis, and natural language processing, as well as to effectively work with information from various sources.

A graduate of the programme “Applied Linguistics and English Language” will acquire a range of professional skills and knowledge that will enable them to develop in various fields. Some of the key skills and competencies include:

  • High level of English proficiency: a command of English that allows understanding and fluent use of the language in all aspects, including grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, and communicative situations.
  • Translation skills for various types of texts, including scientific and technical specialized texts.
  • Text processing skills: reading, analysis, editing, and writing of different types of texts; analysis of linguistic structure; identification of key terms and concepts.
  • Skills in using machine translation tools, terminology databases, and software for text creation and editing to improve quality and productivity.
  • Basic programming skills using modern programming languages.
  • Copywriting and editing skills: effective written communication, stylistic and linguistic accuracy, creation of advertising and informational texts, as well as editing and proofreading of textual materials.

    • Previous educational qualification required: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.

    Entrance examinations for international applicants:

    1. Language of instruction examination (Ukrainian or English language);
    2. Professional entrance examination in the chosen field of study.
