Engineering geology

Graduates of the Master’s educational program “Engineering Geology” acquire fundamental knowledge and practical skills in engineering and geological investigations. They are prepared to perform research, innovative, and applied professional tasks in engineering geology, engineering hydrogeology, and geotechnical engineering.

The program enables graduates to bridge geological science and practical professional activities, apply their knowledge in both professional and research settings, and readily adapt to modern technologies and innovative approaches in their field.

Graduates are eligible to continue their education at the doctoral level (PhD) in Earth Sciences.

The program is an educational and professional, practice-oriented program designed to prepare specialists capable of solving complex specialized tasks related to ensuring the safety of the construction and operation of buildings and structures and making optimal design decisions based on a comprehensive assessment of the natural and human-induced engineering and geological conditions of construction sites.

The program focuses on developing a comprehensive set of general and specialized competencies required of professional researchers specializing in engineering and geological investigations, forecasting changes in conditions affecting the construction and operation of engineering structures, and modeling modern geological processes related to the interaction between buildings and structures and the geological environment.
